A subtle canvas texture ideal for adding a grunge feel to type and icons.

There is something about the crosshatch look of canvas that has always appealed to me and I often rely on it when creating textures. This particular texture was designed with type in mind, specifically light text on a dark background. Simple add it via a clipping mask to your favorite font, or even icons, for an instant texture. I’ve added a few tips in the download to help you get it just right. The fonts used in this file are, in order of appearance, Mission Script, Mensch and Recklame Script.
